Gas Co- Generation Facility
As part of an initiative aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting a clean environment, a gas cogeneration plant was constructed in 2020.
Generating electricity from natural gas able to reduce carbon emissions by 68% and by utilizing the waste heat through natural chiller, total reduction of carbon emission can reach up to 72%.
Waste Water Treatment Facility
Following the regulation of the Environmental Quality Act, 1974, Nichicon Malaysia is committed to fulfilling its role in protecting the environment.
Our own wastewater treatment plant combined with our own dedicated personnel ensures that no untreated water is discharged from the plant.

Solar Panel
Solar panels have been installed on the roof of our covered parking space and EV charger to demonstrate our commitment to clean energy.
By using renewable energy, we have been able to reduce TNB energy consumption, and make equivalent changes to social contribution such as reducing CO2.
More solar panels are expected to be installed in the new building to further express our commitment to the green environment.
Electric Vehicle
In 2019, Nichicon Malaysia collaborated with Nissan to promote electric vehicle (EV) and EV chargers to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Electric cars are generally more energy-efficient compared to internal combustion vehicles. They convert a higher percentage of the stored energy in their batteries to power the wheels, reducing energy waste.
We have a plan to replace all our company's cars with EVs.
