The drill, which took place at the factory’s main facility, aimed to ensure that all employees are well-versed in emergency evacuation procedures.
The exercise (morning shift) began at 09:30 AM, with alarms sounding throughout the building. Employees quickly and orderly evacuated the premises, following the designated evacuation routes posted in various sections of the factory. ERT’s member, identified by their bright vests, guided staff to the assembly points and conducted headcounts to ensure everyone was accounted for. It took less than four minutes for the workers to gather at the assembly point., demonstrating the efficiency and readiness of the factory’s emergency response plan. The entire drill was completed in just under thirty minutes. Safety officers monitored the drill and noted that all protocols were followed correctly. Regular fire drills and safety training sessions are part of NM’s ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of workplace safety.
The local fire department also praised the factory’s proactive approach, noting that well-executed fire drills can significantly reduce risks and save lives in actual emergency scenarios.
